The words of Thomas Paine’s Common Sense continue on into our collective consciousness, but it is a play on words that Co-operatives UK used to title their exploration of shared public space.

The exploration is called Commons Sense, and it explores reinventing the Garden City model (similar to the American move to suburban life) for the 21st century.


The proposal has met mixed reviews in England, just as urban farms are questioned in our biggest metropolitan areas.
