Application Requirements
The Purpose of the Application
The Agrarian Commons Online Application is designed to gather all preliminary, pertinent information needed in order for Agrarian Trust to review your project. The information you provide will initiate a preliminary review of your project, and we will assess the feasibility and viability of proceeding to the next step of starting an Agrarian Commons.
The application is a ten-page application. The individual sections of the application include contact information and farm partners, base attributes, FEMA flood map, transactional attributes, natural attributes, USDA NRCS soils map, economic attributes, viability attributes, community attributes, and cultural attributes.
What you will be asked to provide
The application asks in-depth business, land, soil, and cultural questions. You will be asked to provide narratives, answer multiple choice and selection questions, as well as upload photos and maps. If the subject property involves wildlife action plans, farm management plans, conservation plans, conservation easements, or other official documents, you will be asked to provide those plans and documents.

Notes about the Application
Saving Your Application
The application can be saved within our system and you can return to it later to continue completing it. In the application, at the bottom of each page, you have the opportunity to click ‘Save’. You will be asked to create an account in order to save your application, and you will receive a link in your email that allows entry back into the application. The application will remain available for editing until you are ready to submit your application.

What to Expect After You Submit Your Application
After you fully complete your application and click the submit button, you will see a thank you page, and will receive a confirmation email. You should expect an email response from us within thirty to sixty days to initiate a conversation on your application.
