In navigating the new peer to peer “ethical economy” which strives to go beyond profit-maximizing corporate relationships, it is helpful to have some guiding tenants. Ten years of research by the P2P Foundation has been distilled into Ten Commandments of Commons Economics by P2P founder Michel Bauwens.
The Commandments help orient us in how to create an economy of production which is ““free, fair and sustainable at the same time”. Bauwens shares both concrete practices and big picture framing in order to empower us and inspire us. We come away with tools for implementation and an enhanced understanding of other companies and cooperatives pushing forward new modes of production and collaboration.
